Roger Pruitt, DO, FAAP

Dr. Roger Pruitt was born and raised in the small town of Luling, Texas (think about watermelons and BBQ, not the smell!)  He then moved to "Aggieland" where he received his B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University.  Education took him north to Fort Worth where he attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center (UNTHSC) and received his degree as a Doctor of Osteopathy.  Pediatric residency, followed by a clinical fellowship in Adolescent Medicine, was then completed at the University of Missouri in Columbia.  Dr. Pruitt was board certified in Pediatrics in 2000.  He and his wife greatly enjoy the hill country and currently reside with their son in Driftwood, Texas.



Scott Coltharp, PA-C

Scott grew up in Austin, Texas where he graduated from McCallum High School. Then he attended Texas Tech University where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Management. While attending Texas Tech he also obtained a certification as an EMT-Paramedic. Scott proceeded to The University of Mary Hardin Baylor where he obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing and met his wife Kima. After working in the Intensive Care Unit at Scott and White Hospital and Central Texas Veterans Hospital, he decided to attend Physician Assistant school. Scott attended Physician Assistant school at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth where he obtained his Master's of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2004.

Scott joined Wimberley Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine in July of 2004. He and his wife Kima have two boys Connor and Kaeden. The Coltharp family enjoys living in Wimberley. In Scott's free time he enjoys hunting and fishing with his family and expanding his exotic reptile collection.



Caroline MacElroy, RN, MSN, CPNP-PC

Caroline MacElroy is grew up in Dallas and has called Austin home since 2010. Caroline received her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner license and Master’s of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin. While in school she did clinical rotations at Tiger Clinic Pediatrics and Wimberley Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. Prior to receiving her Master’s degree, she worked at Dell Children’s Medical Center as a registered nurse on the Intermediate Care Unit for 3 years. She gained clinical expertise in caring for critically-ill children with complex multi-system illnesses. Caroline earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Baylor University in 2010. The Pediatric Nursing Certification Board certifies her to practice, and she is a member of NAPNAP (National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners) and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.

Caroline joined The Tiger Clinic & Wimberley Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine in July of 2015. The importance of health promotion and disease prevention is fundamental to her view of pediatric health care. As well as, empowering parents to raise healthy children. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her wonderful daughter and husband. She stays active through participating in triathlons, having completed over 10 races. Other activities of interest include traveling, reading, and enjoying Austin’s music and festival scene. 

Kari Monk, PA-C

Kari joined Wimberley Pediatrics in May, 2013. She grew up in Plano, TX and attended Plano East High School. She received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Texas Tech University in 2002 and Master's degree in  Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech Health Science Center in 2005. After completing school she moved to Austin to be near family and worked as a Physician Assistant in a family medicine clinic. Kari is licensed by the Texas State Medical Board and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

In 2011 she met her husband, Rodney. Rodney convinced her that Wimberley is the only good place to live...she is very glad she listened. She loves exploring what the hill country has to offer. Since moving to Wimberley, Kari enjoys spending time with Rodney, her twins Jackson and Jensen, her step-son, Brandon, and their 2 furry children ( a boxer and a bichon frise). She also enjoys spending time with friends, crafting, and listening to live music.
